Bernadette Mayer - Memory

Every day she shot a roll of film and every day she took pages and pages of notes. She got the film printed and wrote more notes while reading her earlier notes. She wrote rambling repetitive poems for each day. She recorded the poems, the tape was 7 hours. The photos were placed side by side on a gallery wall. The gallery played the poems over the speakers. Eventually, they published this book, which contains both the photos and the poems.
